Patrick Shane Dunn was born January 16, 1960 to Jeanne Ann Dunn and adopted by Joseph and Dolores Dunn in 1966. He attended North Lake Grade School and Arrowhead High School.
Patrick was exceptionally smart, reading two or three books a week. When the game Trivial Pursuit was popular, no one could beat him. He won every game, eventually making it “no fun” to play knowing you would lose every time. Patrick just laughed. He was also very artistic, creating pieces of art out of large pieces of rock, etched out and filled in with silver. His St. Sebastian is one of his best.
He married Jennifer Barry in 1980, and together they had two beautiful daughters, Maureen and Mikala. The family lived in the lake country area for many years. When the girls grew up and went to college in different cities, Patrick and Jennifer went their separate ways. He was always very proud of his daughters. In later years, Patrick became a truck driver, a job he loved and was very good at. He spent many holidays at the home of Jack and Jeanne Anne in North Lake, and considered it home.
Patrick is lovingly remembered by his half-sister, Sarah Frederickson Oman, other siblings, James Dunn (Jackie Rux), Jacqueline (Charles) Stevens, Joseph (Jeanne) Dunn, Julaine (Tom) Nampel, Jerald Dunn,
Jill Reid-Olson, Kathleen (Robert) Hoff and several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was loved by all and will be missed by many.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Evert-Luko Funeral Home on Friday, November 3rd from 4PM until a Time of Remembrance at 6PM. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
