James Robert Coffee, known to friends and family as “Jim,” passed away on October 5, 2018, at the age of 73 years.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at St. Charles Catholic Church, located at 313 Circle Drive in Hartland, WI. Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM, with Mass to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at the Wisconsin Veteran's Cemetery at King at a later date.
Jim enjoyed the outdoors, taking long walks, spending time at the cabin, and being with family and friends. He was also known to enjoy his chocolate treats, especially chocolate covered cherries. Jim was a man of honor, bravely serving as a Sergeant in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He loved the Corps, his country, and his family, and was proud to be a veteran. He was the best father, grandfather, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
James is survived by his brothers, John (Mary Jo) Coffee and Jerome (Jeanne) Coffee; son, Steve (Theresa) Coffee; daughter, Jessica (Preston) Klink; 8 grandchildren, Abby, Atreayu, Bruno, Patrick, Tucker, Wyatt, Poppy and Mason; 3 nieces, Amy Coffee, Rebecca Coffee, Sena Czubin; and nephew, Matthew Coffee.
James was preceded in death by his parents Clete and Irene Coffee.
Special thanks to the staff at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center for caring for Jim and making him feel comfortable and cared-for throughout his long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
