Gerald J. Condon, “Jerry”, of Sussex was born to eternal life on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Angel’s Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc at the age of 82.
Jerry was born on November 28, 1932 in Oconomowoc to parents Gerald W. and Helen (nee Maichle) Condon. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Arlene (nee Reinke). He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Margaret Condon, brothers Patrick Condon and Michael Condon, and daughter Karen Condon.
Proud father of Dennis (Pamela) Condon, Mark Condon, Brian (Pamela) Condon, Colleen (Jeff) Amenda, Kevin (Ann) Condon, Kathy (Chris) Thorsen, and Maureen (Eric) Hack. Further survived by 19 grandchildren: Kyle, Justin, Katelin, Jenna, Alex, Brandon, Megan (fiancé Nick Brengosz), Sarah, Jacob, Erin, David, Nathan, Spencer, Ashlynn, Connor, Gabriele, Jocelyn, Cameron, and Mitchell. Further survived by his brother Jim (Shirley) Condon and sisters-in-law Peggy Condon (Dave) Hesprich and Aggie Condon, brother-in-law Don (Barb) Reinke, sister-in-law Carol (Chas) Monroe, and many other relatives and friends.
Jerry was a respected life-long dairy farmer in the Town of Lisbon, and longtime member and usher at St. Charles Church, Hartland, WI. He was a graduate of Hartland High School and proudly served in the Army Reserves. He was an avid Packer fan and member of Waukesha County Agri-Business Council. Jerry thoroughly enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s many activities.
After retiring from farming, Jerry enjoyed traveling. His journeys with Arlene took them to all 50 states, Ireland, Spain, Italy, and many other European locations. He enjoyed many snowmobile trips each winter delighting in the sport as well as God’s beautiful scenery and the many good friends they traveled with and met along the way.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Drive, Hartland. Visitation at church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass. Final rest will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pewaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Charles Catholic Church or Angel’s Grace Hospice are appreciated.
