Helen was raised in Indiana and upon her marriage moved to Illinois, later relocating to Wisconsin where she spent the last 42 years. She took great pride in decorating her beloved home in Hartland spending many hours on the hunt for antiques. She loved gardening and had a lovely flower garden for many years. Her home was located on the parade route for the Hartland 4th of July Parade. She took particular joy in hosting her annual 4th of July parade viewing party and specifically loved the marching bands. Every year she could be heard shouting “strike up the band” to ensure they played in front of her home. Helen liked to tell her granddaughters that the city was having a parade in honor of her birthday.

A Hoosier at heart, she was very competitive. She enjoyed golfing and played in the ladies league at Lakeside Golf Course, winning the league multiple times. Helen loved to play bridge, most recently playing in several bridge clubs in Hartland. She took great pleasure in sharing her victories.

An animal lover with a particular fondness for dogs, she owned and loved many four legged companions over the years.

Helen spent her entire career with the phone company. She was an active member of the AT&T Davidson Road fundraising group and took great pride and pleasure in hosting their annual kids Christmas party. After a long career she retired from AT&T. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Hartland, WI.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc and extend special thanks to the Hartland Fire Department /EMT‘s.
We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Kim Haines and Joan Pouchert Heinitz for the kindness and generosity they extended Helen.
