Walter “Chris” Kasprzak, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the age of 91.
Chris was a graduate of Boys Tech Carpentry and worked his entire career as a journeyman finish carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII active in Battle of the Bulge. In 2013 he was thrilled to participate in the Honor Flight along with his brother Stan (Korean Conflict). They became the first set of brothers to attend the flight together. He was an active member of St. Vincent DePaul at St. Clare Catholic Church now Blessed Teresa of Calcutta and served as an usher and lector.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, his daughters Susan (Fred) Glaze and Kathryn (Jon) Sterngold and his granddaughter Maureen Moore. He is further survived by his step daughters Betty (Kevin) Klink and Patty (Richard) Boyd, his brother Stan (Mitzie) Kasprzak and numerous nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 11:30AM at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Hwy 83, North Lake followed by full military honors. Visitation at church from 10:30 AM until the time of Service. In lieu of flowers memorials to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta St. Vincent DePaul appreciated.
