Robert “Bud” Sizer passed away following a short illness on April 5, 2017
at the age of 90.
A lifelong resident of the Hartland area, he was born in the Town of Delafield to parents Claud and Esther Sizer. Along with his family, he farmed the land that is now Hartridge Subdivision until the farm was sold. Changing gears, he became a machinist until his retirement in 1987. He devoted his life to his family and enjoyed gardening, county music and visiting with friends. He was a longtime member of St. Charles Catholic Church.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, of 63 years. He is survived by his children, Robert J. (Donna), James C. (Kim), Thomas C. (Ellen), Mark A. (Laurie), Mary E. (Glenn) Luebke and Joseph M. He is further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, his sister Evelyn Smith, his sisters-in-law Florence Martin and Rita Schaeffer, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, a grandson and a great-great grandson.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11:30 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church 313 Circle Drive, Hartland. Visitation will be at church from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass. Final rest will be in St. Charles Cemetery.
