Lori A. Stangler of Sussex passed away peacefully Monday, April 20, 2015 surrounded by her family, at the age of 58.
She was born on May 9, 1956 to parents the late Harry and Muriel Shaw.
She graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1974 and
Deaconess School of Nursing in 1977.
On November 5, 1977 she married Alan Stangler.
Lori, a caregiver at heart,
she started her career as an RN at Hartford Memorial Hospital,
later moving to St. John’s Military Academy.
She finished her career as the school nurse at Arrowhead High School.
A selfless person, Lori was always thinking of others. Her passions included card making, piano and music, cooking and baking, and spending time at the family cottage up north.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Alan,
her children Chris (Jody) Stangler, Jason (Ashley) Stangler, and Bradley Stangler. Loving grandma of Alana and Lydia.
She is further survived by her mother Muriel Shaw,
her brothers Mike (DebLenzen) Shaw and Gary (Roger White) Shaw
and many other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Rodrigues and his staff and the staff at AngelsGrace Hospice for all their wonderful care.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday April 24, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Redeemer United Church of Christ, W220 N4915 Town Line Road Menomonee Falls.
Visitation at church from 4:00 PM until the time of Services.
