Karl T. Wieland of Hartland found peace in the arms of the angels on Monday, November 27, 2017 after a valiant battle.
He was born in Waukesha, WI on December 31, 1970 to Thomas and Joan Wieland. He enjoyed a childhood of family, hard work, lake fun, and occasional shenanigans. Karl graduated from Arrowhead High School in 1989. He married the love of his life, Barb (Griffin), in 1994. Together they brought four beautiful daughters into the world: Lisa, Gena, Ashley, and Rachel.
Karl was a fun-loving soul with a lively sense of humor, strong opinions, and a heart of gold. He enjoyed classic cars, hunting, loud music, playing canasta, raising a garden and canning the harvest, baking dozens of Christmas cookies, and spending time outdoors. He liked a good party, a good beer, and a good friendly argument. He was an avid member of the Cadillac-LaSalle Club, the Classic Car Club of America, and the Stone Bank Sportsmen’s Club. Above all, Karl treasured his time with his wife and daughters of whom he was so very proud.
In addition to his family and parents, Karl is further survived by his siblings, in-laws and outlaws, aunts and uncles, numerous nieces and nephews, a large extended family, and dear friends.
Friends and family will gather on Saturday, December 2nd from 11 a.m. to 12:45 PM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in North Lake. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for the children’s education fund.
The family sends a heartfelt thank you to the ICU staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital for their care and support.
